I suspect that people in the Official USC Trojans Sweet 16 DI Women’s Basketball Four It All 2024 Shirt but in fact I love this Mormon Church learn how to dress from their parents and that visitors look at the people around them and learn that way. I learned that people dress less formally in some places than in others. The tiny church near my condo in the mountains sees people dressed like skiers because that is the way they got to the church in the winter — they skied in! The church on the beach in Hawaii sees young people dressed a good deal more casually than I dressed, but then I went to church in the 1930s! Times and dress patterns change. I usually get mine at Walmart in the religious section titled “For Christians only”. I enjoy wearing cargo pants because they are comfortable and have lots of pockets and my church approves of them. As for my top I usually just wear a t-shirt of a darker color. The last pair of shoes I bought came from Sam’s Club on a huge discount. We have a list hanging up on the bulletin board at church of what stores we can buy our “special” clothes at. Amazon also has a special line of clothes just for us church going people. I get mine in 2 days and sometimes even the next day. The question is bogus. Women are allowed to wear whatever they like to church. It is requested that people wear respectful and modest clothing – “Sunday best.”

It is possible that some folks might be offended by unusual choices, but that is on them. My daughters have worn pants to church and, aside from a compliment by one woman, no one said a word. Most members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints wear Sunday best. We had a couple (who became new members) and he wore jeans for the first few weeks. There have been police officers and security people (who had to work afterwards) show up in uniforms. My ward in the Greater Salt Lake Metro area shares a building with a Tongan ward, and many of the men show up in lavalavas and sandals. Yes, you can wear jeans or shorts. I have attended meetings on camping trips where the “rule” was come as you are. For more formal meetings at church, most people dress in Sunday best, but again, jeans or shorts would be acceptable if that’s what you’ve got. No one will quiz you unless they’re a jerk, and that’s on them, not the Church. Most of us will welcome you. If you’re a visitor we will try to answer your questions and may introduce you to the missionaries to give you more depth. When I was in Vietnam, I got R&R to Hawaii. I showed up at the temple barefoot, in jeans and a t-shirt. They loaned me a pair of slippers to wear in to the temple. That was it. I was still admitted (yes, I had a temple recommend). No complaints.
