Yes. I am. Calling myself a feminist (instead of, say a gender egalitarian — which, BTW, is my favorite term) is a stronger statement in my opposition NOT just of discrimination against / oppression of women (in general), but I’m also against a great many things that aren’t conveyed by just saying, “gender egalitarian”: As a feminist, I believe it conveys not just that “I’m all for equality, but. . . “, rather, “I’m for an active role in toppling the Official Matt Ryan And Ronald Acuna Jr Atlanta Sport Teams Signatures Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this systems that prevent equality.” How can a man feel mature and empowered if he must rely on disempowering women?
